2nd beach partay at....PeeeeDeeeeeee! =D

After a long wait...i finally have my wish came true! The idea popped when my birthday was approaching. Then i was chatting on the phone with another October baby, Wan Hui so i thought..."Hey...i think it would be great to celebrate our birthday together by organising a beach partay!" So that's when the plan started to brew...

At first i set the date on the 11th October which is the exact date of my birthday, but i postponed it to the 18th coz i want all my girls to go & have fun together. Though it was late but it definitely fulfilled my main purpose of organising the trip which is to gather everyone & have helluva fun catching up together!

So the fun starts in the morning of the 18th when 9 of us (Yvonne, Wan Lin, Wan Hui, Pei Man, Jillian, Rachael, Venna, Melanie & Myself) set off for PD in 2 cars. While in the car ride, i felt that we are already capable of travelling anywhere we want as long as everyone is steady enough to go. We are old enough to organise, plan & go for it. When we reached there, we checked in & headed to our apartment. We got a nice apartment which has a big enough hall for us to hang around & chill out for drinking session & games at night. :)

After settling down in the apartment, we changed to our beach wear & headed to the beach! When we reached there, Ohhhh Wowwwwww! The beach is soooo 'nice'. Hahaha... Desaru is way better than PD for their cleaner beach & better beach volleyball court. However, i did not regret or had a bad time there coz wherever we go, we rock the place & will definitely have lotsaaa fun! Even how sucky the club is, we still rock the house coz we always bring the house down.

After spending the afternoon till evening taking pictures, sun tanning & skinny dipping (hahaha) at the beach, we left and felt so hungry coz all of us did not have breakfast. So we headed to town & packed KFC. Hahaha... It was the best time to start the BBQ fire when we got back the chalet so some of us showered first & the rest went down to start the BBQ fire.

When night falls, the BBQ started. Yikes... there was so much food but the KFC made the girls ate so little. Luckily i didn't buy more chicken wings coz i thought i wouldn't be enough. It's nice to have lotsa food rather than not enough. We had BBQ chicken wings, BBQ chicken fillet with sambal & honey wrapped in lettuce (YUMMY!), Sting ray, sausages, potato salad, jelly & sweet potato. I even wanted to cook spaghetti but luckily i didn't! Haha.... The BBQ feast was farnee. The girls were not big eaters so they hanged around there chatting & mingling around. Then suddenly they talked about the good old days of Convent & started to do St.John marching. Wth?! Haha....

After we had our fill, we cleared everything & headed back to our apartment for the moment we love the most....drinking session! Weeeeeee~ :D

I love to sit together & chill with them while laughing out loud at each others' crazyass antics. I love our get-togethers coz we know each other soo well that we can comfortably talk & do anything without caring about our self-image. Haha... So our night started with the birthday cake celebration for the 3 October babies-Wan Hui, Rachael & Me.

We had a farnee photo-taking session where we posed like we were holding a round thing on our hands which is actually holding the heads of our other dear friends who couldn't make it for this trip. Ahahahaha! So Wth right? It's actually like this...Su- Lyn called & said leave some space in between us when we take a group photo so that she can fit in those who couldn't make it to the trip by using Photoshop into the picture. So don't know who was that crazyass who thought of the idea of holding only their heads! Crazyass people! :D

After the birthday cake ritual was over then came the best part! We sat down in a circle & played card games. What's a party without poker cards huh? It compliments the alcohol so much & that's how the fun begins. I finally tried Barcardi Apple & i like it! It's so mild & it taste just like apple juice. So niceeee! :) We played 007 where your alertness is tested so there was lotsa laughter & punishments too! Haha... After the Barcardi finished, we suddenly got up on our feets & started dancing to the beats. Wan Lin that WoMaNnnnnnn has lotsa nice club beats & many other genre of great songs (esp those jazzy ones!). I felt the itch for clubbing coz it has been some time huh girls? Haha... What happened after that i shall stop elaborating for now. Hahaha...

Bottom line is, we had a splendid time catching up with each other & im really glad to see all of us gathered together & have fun. I'm happy all of them forked out their time to make the trip a great one! This is what i want the reason of the trip to be! Thanks sooo much girls for everything! There should be a leader in every group or team & the leader should be the one who carries the torch & lead his team. Friendship adopts the same concept but something extra which is 'Initiative' & 'Effort'. Initiative to keep the friendship going is very very important. Imagine a strong friendship bond can just fade away within a short time frame. I have went through that & that made me cherish that friendship so much more to never let it drift again. That was really sad. But im glad the friendship is back on steady track again! :)

Effort is about everyone contributing what they can do to make the friendship strong. It can be care, help, support, understanding & love whenever a friend needs it. Always remember that friendship is always more important than love relationship coz friends are forever. Some people rely on love so much that they neglect their friends & when the whole lovey dovey thing ends, they become lost souls. If you're attached, you can still spare time to hang out & spend quality time with your friends. Never neglect friends coz they are the ones who really catch you when you fall.

I'm really thankful coz im blessed with so many great friends by my side & i have different clique of friends. My dear friends who are reading my blog...always remember that frienship will only be forever when there's Initiative & Effort. Take Care everyone! I LOVE MY FRIENDS! :)

HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY to ME!

I had another birthday celebration with my volleyball mates at a special cafe called 'That's Cafe' located at Jln Wong Ah Fook. (of all name i don't know why it is called That's). To all JB people, i'm sure you know where i'm talking about. The cafes there are so retro & designed to look sophisticated for a sit, chill & dine.

This is a really great idea to utilise the old shops of Jln Wong Ah Fook to revamp it into a chill out zone at night! :)

I really love the exterior of the cafe coz it looks English just like the way i want my English Cottage to be. But mine will be far more classy & comfortable. I love the lil garden they have outside the pavement & the white door compliments the English ambience. Upstairs of the cafe doesn't look English. It has a touch of retro interior just like the famous Roost Cafe. There is also a boutique & hair salon situated upstairs.

When everyone arrived at the cafe, the atmosphere was so merry seeing everyone again...you know those crazyass people love to have fun & laughter as usual. So after we had our fill, we played the game Mafia AGAIN!!! Ahahaha! They just can't get enough of Mafia. Then later we played another game called King Game which the King card holder can demand anyone of the cards 1-10 to do what is demanded! Since we are all sporting & crazyass people, the dare was kinda extreme. Hahaha.... Since i was the birthday girl, they gave me the privilege to be King & i ruled out 4 demands for card holders number 5, 9, 3 and 8. Hahaha! Those lucky people were Yi Ping, Yi Tong, Pee See Er & Hong Ping. Woohuhuhuhu! :p

Choon Lian was the 1st to do a dare. They demanded her to dance pole dance & Chia Wen was the pole! Bahahaha~.....

Whoaaaaa-aaahhh! Ah Lian damn pro ahhhh!

Yi Ping was the 1st to do my dare by starjumping to & fro the cafe! Hahaha! She was so cute & embarrassed coz there were other diners at the cafe too. Next was Yi Tong & See Er which had to jump up in the air & bump each other with their chest! But alamak problem is...Yi Tong is tall & Pee See Er is short so i asked them to bump their bellies together lah. Haha...So they did it & posed an 'act cute peace sign Yay!' for me. Hahaha! :D Last one was Hong Ping who i demanded him to go into the bling bling curtain fitting room & then pull away the bling bling curtains all of a sudden while singing an oldies Ah Pek song! He was damn shy & the stressful look on his face was sooo farnee. I had a greaaaaaaaat laugh the whole night with the company of the gang. They are all a bunch of steady jokers! :)

After playing, one of the shop owner came & asked Hong Ping to off the lights. When i turned my head to the left i saw my birthday cake!!! All of them then immediatedly sang the Birthday song. AWWWWWWW!!! I really didn't expect to have a cake. I was already very contented all of them came that day to have fun together. I was surprised. Haha...Usually i give people surprises but i'm really happy to get a surprise to usher in my 20th birthday. Thanks sooo much guys! I really appreciate it a lot! And and.....Chia Wen & Yi Tong bought me a necklace as my prezzie. Man...............Thanks so much man!!

It's my birthday! My cake was very nice...soft & chocolatey. :)

Birthday to me is not the biggest celebration of the year. In fact, i feel age is just a number that keeps changing every year. I live life to the fullest & do whatever i yearn to. I won't feel sad even if i don't have a cake. I don't get prezzies every year too. My life is like having birthdays everyday coz i am blessed with lotsa great friends who share love, laughter & fun with me. That is why I LOVE MY FRIENDS!!! ( just like what my msn name says...haha)

Oh yeah!!! I would like to express my hearfelt big thank you to these people here in my blog.

First is Miss Beverly Hew Shin Yi aka Bev Bev aka Baby Bev! This woman ah....she called me all the way from Australia, Toowombaa at 12am Australia time sehhhhhh. Man................i was so touched you know what i'm sayin? When she called her voice was like a little girl's voice and i was in the car with my family. Then i was like Huh? Shin Yi? Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! OMGGGGG! SHIN YI!!!! :D Ahaha...blur me. Shin Yi is really a very caring friend & will do everything she can to help me. Haha...i remember going down to the school canteen to buy her hot milo coz she was having gastric pain during lesson in class. Then when i gave her the milo that woman cried! Hahaha! Silly girl!

Second is Nick who sms-ed me a very meaningful poem in a way to wish me Happy Birthday. That was a very nice poem created by you Nick! Thank you very much!

Third is Miss Ee Su Qin lah. That woman has been MIA for soooo long. I really really miss talking to her & she is really a great friend to me. I remember what she wrote in my autograph book and it meant a lot to me. Miss you sooooo much Su Qin!! :(

Fourth is Michelle Soh! :D She is my primary classmate and we have been friends for 12 years now. What is sooo special about her is she never fail to remember me though we drifted apart during Standard 4. She left for another primary school but we kept in touch through snail mail! That was very memorable coz i will get so excited & especially exuberant when i receive her letter. Michelle came back to Convent during secondary but we rarely talk though we were in the same school again.

Then the most touching thing was during the 'Seek Forgiveness Day' to our teachers & friends before SPM. Michelle came to me & gave me a big hug saying something like 'Thank You Jia Li my primary school friend'. I was so very touched to the MAX coz she has never forgotten me all these years. I remember i immediatedly broke down into tears after she said that to me. This is what i really acknowledge what a true friend is although we seldom meet. Michelle will occasionally send me messages to keep in touch & i really appreciate her effort. It's very hard to keep a friendship going on strong if both friends don't initiate to keep in touch. I bumped into her at KL Sentral last month & that's when i know she is now studying in KL! Goody! I will find her out for a good catch up one day! :) Dear Michelle, thank you soooo much for all the wonderful memories we spent since primary. You're a true friend worth keeping & appreciated forever! :)

Friends are the best treasures i have in my life besides my family. I'm really thankful to be blessed with soooooo many great friends that will always be there for me anytime anywhere. Serious! My uni friends, the bunch of cool Utarian clique that i mix with, my crazyass T5 classmates, my Convent school friends, my Volleyball teammates, my dear babes from the clique that i mix with, the bunch of big brothers & sisters volleyball gang in KL, all of my working friends & all of my KL & JB friends...So much gratitude that can't be expressed here. Thanks soooo much is the simplest way to make it short. I LOVE MY FRIENDS! Hugsssssssssssssssssss! :)
